Canada enjoys one of the most abundant supplies of fresh water in the entire world. We also enjoy some of the highest quality drinking water. However, we are becoming increasingly aware of issues surrounding the quality of water that's delivered to our homes.With issues of agricultural and industrial run off and pharmaceutical contamination plaguing our water sources, as well as issues of contamination due to lead, heavy metals and chlorine by-products arising from our water treatment practices and delivery systems, Canadians are starting to take a hard look at the water coming out of their taps.
What once seemed like an endless resource, an abundance of pure, safe water flowing from our taps, now presents as both limited and problematic. For the most part Canadian tap water is free of microbial contamination, the long-term health effects of exposure to other man-made containments are being called into question.
